The 12 inch Variegated Verde vase lamp is a clear glass vase that was painted green on the inside then fired to cure the paint. When the process was complete, the variegated paint scheme, along with the painted gold band at the bottom of the vase, were hand applied. While each lamp produced is an individual due to the hand painted variegated design, the paint scheme did not vary a great degree like it does with the variegated tan vase lamp.
The variegated tan vase lamp, and the variegated verde, have the variegated paint finish applied to the outside of the vase. If you touch the vase you can feel the paint on the outside of them.
